Knott’s Scary Farm has always been known for innovation when it comes to Halloween. They created the modern theme park Halloween event format that is now seen in different places all over the world. This year will be no exception with the introduction of Smell-O-Scary, a brand new way to experience The Hanging, Knott’s annual yearly parody show/Necktie Party. The Hanging started over 40 years ago as a nightly witch hanging. It was very a very dark, chilling, and haunting spectacle which guests of last years Halloween Haunt could have re-experienced. But over the years the event evolved into a parody show spoofing the year’s celebrities, events and ultimately one celebrity who was the worst offender of the year would be hung, which is how guests can see the show this upcoming season. It’s always fun to see parks doing fun things especially Knott’s, scratch n’ sniff is certainly a first for a Halloween event in California. As far as how it will be incorporated into the show remains to be seen.
