Hey there, hi there, ho there! It’s time for another weekly Disney news round up! We take a look at some of the cool things happening in Disney parks, and in Disney news in general this week. Another week brings more Star Wars news, and this week some big Marvel happenings as Disney prepares to roll out another Marvel Phase 2 film.
Disney’s original creation, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit has made his first appearance at Tokyo’s DisneySea Resort. The character is in an all new meet n greet at the park in front of a produce stand and farmer backdrop. If this is successful in Tokyo, guests could expect to see Oswald stateside within the year.

While it may be a rather annoying song, It’s a Small World has definitely left it’s mark on the world. The attraction is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary this year, and everyone is getting in on the action. Here’s a video of ABC’s biggest stars paying tribute to the attraction about unity around the world

Speaking of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we were told Wednesday night that employees were getting a special late night preview of the attraction. There is word that coaster could open to the public for soft openings as soon as Thursday, with a definite opening by Monday. Media will be at the attraction April 30th, so it can’t be long now.
Happy Hound, an all new Kiosk at Downtown Disney Orlando’s Marketplace has opened up, showcasing things for your DD or DP (that’s Disney Dog and Disney Puppy). The kiosk features leashes, pet accessories and more.
Walt Disney World has released information, as well as ticket sales for it’s annual Night of Joy.

Captain America:The Winter Soldier hits theaters tonight, and we’re hearing it’s plain awesome! It’s not a typical superhero movie, but more of a political espionage film…with tons of Superheroes in it. Will you be seeing it this weekend?
Star Wars Episode 7 will start filming May 14th in Morocco. The rumor is that the production will catch up with Luke Skywalker on a desert planet, maybe Tattooine? We’re excited that the film is finally lensing, and will hit theaters next Christmas. More details here.
Finally, the annual Disney Sounds like Summer concert series will be kicking off June 8th at EPCOT where some of today’s hottest band…impersonators…take the stage.
