For horror fans, there’s no greater TV show right now than SyFy’s Face Off. The make up competition show takes viewers into the world of make up and effects design, and let’s them see aspiring make up artists use their skill to create amazing effects and creatures. The show is in it’s seventh season, and is capping off the success by being featured at both Halloween Horror Nights events in Hollywood and Orlando. If that wasn’t enough for fans of the event to start watching the show, then this week’s episode’s special guests just might be.
This Tuesday, September 9th, Universal Creative Members John Murdy, and Mike Aiello will be special guests on the show. Also making an appearance is make up artist extraordinaire Bridget Myre-Ellis, who has served as make up department head on True Blood, among others. Murdy and Aiello are familiar faces for anyone who has been to either Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood or Orlando (respectively), as they are pretty much the faces of the event.
This year in Orlando Face Off will be the basis for a huge street experience in which monsters from all episodes will roam the streets in search of victims. In Hollywood, Face Off-In The Flesh will have guests squaring off against the countless monsters in the confines of a huge maze. We’re not sure how the monsters of a make up competition show got into a haunted house, or what they’re doing there…in fact we don’t care, because it’s just a cool as hell premise to begin with.
The episode of Face Off airs on Tuesday at 9 on SyFy. Check your local listings for channels and times.
