Walt Disney World’s FastPass+ has rolled out a few new options over the weekend, which helps guests fit into their Disney vacation. The resort has taken the hassle of getting more FastPass options away from kiosks and put them right on your phone. Plus, Disney has given you a better option at getting more FastPass+ reservations when you use your initial FastPass reservations.
First, the new option let’s guests choose their time window. Previously you kind of had to shoot for a “Best Match” time frame, and hope for the best. You simply choose your pass, choose your attraction, and you can pick up to three attractions at once. Previously you had to choose all three at once, now you can choose one or two.
The biggest change comes via the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Once your initial three FastPass reservations have been used, you can now just go straight to your phone and get the fourth.
The app is definitely trying to make things easier, and we can see that the app is definitely where things are going in the future. While Magic Bands are great, almost everyone carries their phone with them at all times. Disney is working on ways to make the apps more useful than the bands, and the latest update to the mobile experience proves it.
