Pete’s Dragon is a huge piece of my childhood. Inevitably, it’s getting the remake treatment. The new film will take the musical portions out, and put it in a more realistic setting. Will it be better? Very skeptical with it, but we can get a better look at it at both the Disneyland Resort, and Walt Disney World beginning July 1st.
At Disney’s California Adventure, guests can stop by the Sunset Showcase theater for a look at the film in 3D.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, One Man’s Dream will be the spot where guests can get a look at the film in 2D.
It’s only happening for a very limited time. Pete’s Dragon is a remake of the Disney film of the same name that featured the goofy, animated dragon Elliot. Elliot has been immortalized in the Main Street Electrical Parade with his signature clicks and groans.
Hopefully the new film captures the same imagination and whimsy of the original, while bringing it forward for modern audiences.
