Earth’s mightiest heroes are heading to the Disney D23 Expo this July. The event happens every other year, and every other year we get amazing new announcements, and a whole weekend aimed squarely at Disney fans. This year is shaping up to be no exception, as guests at this year’s Expo will get to see many sneak peeks from none other than Marvel. Fans will be able to check out a huge new Marvel Studios Pavilion, and will get hands on with some cool new things from Marvel.
First up, there will be the huge Thor: Ragnarok display, which will feature costumes, props and set pieces from the film. There will be photo opportunities to get up close and personal with this next galactic adventure. Fans will also get to see exclusive costumes from The Black Panther, which hits theaters next year.
For the first time at D23 Expo, guests will be able to get their hands on the hottest new console and mobile games featuring favorite Marvel Super Heroes, playing as the world-famous Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, and more!
- LEGO®Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an all-new, original adventure and sequel to the smash hit LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes. Bringing together iconic Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains from different eras and realities, along with signature LEGO humor, the latest epic adventure from TT Games transports players into a cosmic battle across myriad Marvel locations ripped from time and space into the incredible open hub world of Chronopolis.

That’s all the official things that will happen from Marvel at the D23 Expo. What about things that MIGHT happen? The Expo this year takes place a week before San Diego Comic Con. Traditionally it’s a few weeks after. This year, it looks like Disney may want to get the drop on SDCC by announcing some big news. We could see exclusive movie trailers, and announcements like they’ve done in the past. They could also show those same trailers and announcements during the big Marvel panel during SDCC.
But what else? Well, there’s been huge rumors about a new Marvel themed land coming to Disney’s California Adventure. After all, Guardians director James Gunn said that the new attraction was the start of the Marvel Theme Park Universe. Could we see a huge announcement about a Marvel land at Disneyland, or even new Marvel attractions all over the world? Possibly.
