Universal Studios Hollywood continues the revamp of their CityWalk with yet another restaurant coming soon to the venue. On September 4th, Camacho’s Cantina closed at CityWalk. The new restaurant will be Antojitos Cocina Mexicana. The new restaurant is a take on Antojito’s Authentic Mexican at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk, which opened in 2014.
The walls above came from Jonathan Green on Instagram:
The restaurant features several different types of authentic Mexican dishes, and different styles. You can go the street food vendor style, and go with tacos and burritos. You can also go upstairs and try other dishes such as pork, chicken, steak and seafood. And of course, there’s table side guac, made to order.
There’s no indication of just how close the new restaurant will be to the Orlando version, but if it’s remotely close to when it opened, it’s going to be a blast to eat at. Of course, L.A. is rich in authentic Mexican food, so it’s going to be very interesting just how popular the restaurant really is with locals. After all, who knows the food of the area better than the people that live there?
