Walls came down at SeaWorld Orlando’s newest attraction, Infinity Falls as the ride readies for opening after a long delay in construction. The delay meant that SeaWorld will have missed the “summer” opening date, unless they get the ride open by Friday, September 21st.
Whike the ride isn’t open yet, walls coming down generally mean that the ride is almost ready to open any day.
In the meantime, check out our video walkthrough of the open area, and see the ride in action.
The ride is going to boast the tallest drop on a raft ride, and some of the wettest rapids, as you careen down a winding rainforest river.
The area looks absolutely stunning, as tons of palm trees and massive plants have been brought in. The trees and brush will serve as natural shade in the queue, and will eventually grow over the entire landscape. The park has so far done an amazing job at the theming, as the area looks absolutely stunning. The WaterWay Grill will look over the ride, and will also see the return of the Annual Passholder Lounge, one of the most popular parts at SeaWorld Orlando in the past few years.
The new ride will also feature conservation stations, where guests can learn about animals in the rainforest, and a portion of all proceeds from the gift shop will go towards conservation efforts in Florida.
If we had to guess at an opening date for Infinity Falls, we’d say that the water ride will likely open either Friday or first thing Saturday. Saturday will mark the beginning of Spooktacular, and would make for a great new addition to the Halloween fun.
