SeaWorld San Antonio is kicking off their biggest year yet, but before they do, they’re welcoming some amazing new residents. The turtles from Turtle Reef, the parks newest animal attraction. The new residents are awaiting their new home at Turtle Reef when it opens later this Spring.
The Green Sea Turtles come from SeaWorld San Diego, and are transported dry…meaning they don’t slosh around in the water. Instead they are kept lubricated and comfortable until they arrived at SeaWorld San Antonio.
The turtles are being kept in the zoological support area, where they will be monitored and made to feel at home. Once it’s okay, they will be moved to the exhibit that will be their new home.
The new Turtle Reef area will feature not only the turtles in a fantastic new underwater viewing area, but also two family thrill rides that will give a little something for just about everyone.
The new attractions and exhibit will open this spring, and will be just one the many amazing things happening at SeaWorld San Antonio this year.
