I-Drive 360 isn’t scheduled to open until next spring, but it’s already coming to life. The all new entertainment complex will be host to a huge new 400 foot tall observation wheel, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and Sea Life Aquarium. While there’s still much work to do, construction has ramped up the past few weeks, and things are starting to come along. We take a look around the huge site, as well as go inside the first restaurant to open.
While it appears that work has stalled on the huge Orlando Eye, work around the rest of the area continues. A new fountain springs to life in the front of the area, as Yard House opens it’s doors to customers. Many of the remaining buildings are still getting plenty of attention, and should be announced or ready to open by year’s end.
While it appears that work has haulted on the observation wheel, new parts have been delivered, giving crews new parts to install. The parts will be used to assemble the rest of the wheel. The Orlando Eye is expected to be completed by November, with testing to start shortly after that.
All along the site, more and more construction seems to be ramping up. While we’re not certain, we were told that this will be the site of Madam Tussauds.
