SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa raises ticket prices while putting focus on early booking

SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa were the last Central Florida parks to jump in on the ticket raising game. Coming on the heels of a huge spike on West Coast parks like Disneyland, the two SeaWorld Entertainment parks have decided to go ahead and raise their prices. However, at the very same time, the parks have also announced a new way to save on tickets if you purchase online, and in advance.

On Monday, both SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa raised  their one day admission prices $3 dollars to make a daily, one park admission $95 dollars. Disney started the trend earlier this year as a one day ticket rose to $99 dollars, with Universal Orlando quickly following behind.

However, while the price of a one day ticket did increase, the park has rolled out an all new plan which will allow guests to save if they book in advance. Guests can save $30 dollars by purchasing a weekday ticket, while weekend tickets will cost just $80 dollars. Both parks still offer their wildly popular Fun Car programs, in which guests pay for a single day admission, and get the rest of the year for free.

Last year SeaWorld Orlando broke records with the coldest theme park attraction in Florida, and in 2014 Busch Gardens Tampa is looking to break records with the world’s tallest freestanding drop tower. While other drop towers will go higher, they will be attached to the side of coasters. This tower stands at 335 feet all alone, taking riders straight up, then dropping them. Did we mention that they drop them face first?

Now, more than ever, it pays to book your theme park trips in advance, and spend multiple days in the park.
