Knott’s Berry Farm is kicking off their 16 day Boysenberry Festival in a big way. Competitive eaters from all around the country will take part in the first ever Boysenberry Pie Eating World Championship. Eating legends compete for a $4,000 dollar prize. It’s all to kick off the Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm. The Boysenberry celebrates all things boysenberry, with different takes on the delicious little berry.
Joey Chestnut will be among the competitive eaters vying for the $4,000 dollar prize. Chestnut, who is the hot dog- and chicken wing-eating champion of the world, will be tested by some of the world’s best eaters, including Miki Sudo, the number four-ranked eater, who has consumed 104 hard-boiled eggs in eight minutes; Michelle Lesco, the number nine-ranked eater who has consumed 152 chicken wings in 10 minutes; and Mary Bowers, the number 36-ranked eater, who is the most stylish competitive eater in the world, known to fashion pieces in celebration of the day’s culinary discipline.
The contest will take place this Saturday, March 28th at Knott’s Berry Farm at the Calico Stage, at 2p.m.

The Boysenberry festival mixes tons of delicious food, plants and crafts with the fun of Knott’s Berry Farm. The Festival will be held from Saturday March 28th, until April 12th. From different wines, and craft beers, to food and entertainment, the Boysenberry Festival takes Knott’s back to it’s origins. If it wasn’t for that little berry, Knott’s Berry Farm would have never happened.
