You’ve just taken your first step into a larger universe. Today, the first trailer for the all new Star Wars “spinoff” film, Rogue One has hit. The new film takes place in the time before the first Star Wars film, and mixes new characters with a very familiar, old, background. Today, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first trailer for it, and if it’s any indication of the entire film…wow.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen , Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed, and is directed by Godzilla director Gareth Edwards.
What do you think about this all new Star Wars Story? It’s the first of many planned movies that will take audiences deeper into the world of their favorite Star Wars characters. The next is a film about Han Solo, which will, of course, feature everyone’s favorite bounty hunter-Boba Fett. The new stories are expected to come in between the “saga” films.
