Race season is almost here and runDisney is kicking it off with the reveal of the finisher medals for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, which will take place from November 1, 2018 through November 4, 2018. The weekend features kids races, a 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon. Runners who are hungry for a challenge can take on the Two Course Challenge, which features both the 10k and Half Marathon.
As participants cross the finish line, they will be presented with finisher medals themed to different chefs.
The 5k medal features Chef Tony and Lady and The Tramp. The 10k features Chef Louis and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.
The Half Marathon features Chef Mickey in a design inspired by Tuscan countryside. My personal favorite is the Two Course Challenge Medal, which features Lumiere and Cogsworth from Beauty and The Beast. This particular medal also has a beautiful rose gold finish.
Finally, the little ones who participate in the kids races will also earn their own medal after completing their race. This medal features Chef Linguini and Remy from the Disney Pixar film Ratatouille. The kids races vary in distance and are based on age. Races include the diaper dash for crawlers, 100m, 200m, and 1 mile.
Although the 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and Two Course Challenge are currently sold out, additional spots may open as the race gets closer. If you’re interested in participating, keep checking runDisney’s website to see if registration reopens.
Looking for another race? Registration for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and Princess Half Marathon Weekend are still open and registration for Star Wars Rival Run Weekend 2019 will be opening later this month.
