Ferrari Land is going to be home to Europe’s only Ferrari based theme park. It will feature attractions based on the world’s most popular race car, and will be one of a kind in Europe. It will also be nestled in Port Aventura World, and will feature a record breaking coaster. The park has released a few more details, along with a new expected opening date and a huge new website!
First the new land will feature several new attractions, with the biggest attraction being the “Accelerator”. The coaster will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe, and will propel guests up 112 meters (367 feet) at speeds of up to 180 km/hr (11 mph). The coaster will feature a loading platform that is themed to an F1 Pit Stop, with the coaster cars looking like Ferrari F1 Racing cars.

The coaster itself is a huge deal, but that’s not all. There will be a pair of launch towers that will shoot riders 55 meter (about 188 feet) into the air. A racetrack will allow families to whiz around a track in little Ferraris, and the area will feature tons of simulators that will give you the speeds of the legendary cars, without having to be on the track.
The land will also feature iconic buildings like the Piazza San Marco in Venice, the Colosseum in Rome and La Scala in Milan, in addition to iconic buildings in Maranello, where Ferrari’s main headquarters are located. The massive new land will also feature shopping and dining options, as well as authentic Ferrari merchandise.
The new land is expected to be completed in late 2016, with a grand opening date set for early 2017.
