He’s the king of the world, and by word we mean Avatar world! The box office champion was originally slated to get three sequels, with start dates that have been pushed back several times. During this week’s CinemaCon, James Cameron came out with yet another Avatar sequel, bringing the total Avatar films up to five!

During the Fox presentation, Cameron unveiled an all new Avatar logo and an update. The new film schedule will have the first sequel hitting theaters in December of  2018, followed by another in 2020, the fourth film in 2022 and the final film in 2023. The sequels were originally slated for a 2014 release.

The films are supposed to start production any time now, and will see the return of Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver and Sam Worthington.

Next year, however, fans of the film will be able to fly to Pandora and walk through the bioluminescent forests of Pandora, as the World of Avatar comes to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The new land will be based on the films, and will actually be two different experiences by day and by night, as the park will bring the bio-luminescent forests of Pandora to life. There will also be unique food opportunities as well.
