Thrill Weekly Poll-Attraction of the Year 2011

Last week we asked you to nominate your favorite attractions and shows of the year. It didn’t have to be new attractions this year, or a coaster. It could be a show, a feature, anything that was a featured “attraction” at a theme park this year. After sifting through countless entries, we narrowed it down to the 30 most nominated attractions of the year.

The theme park world is made up of so many great attractions, but which one will be named the favorite of 2011? Our list below is in order, from most nominations to least. You might be a tad surprised.

Color me shocked, but JAWS at Universal Orlando had the most nominations out of any other theme park attraction. Could it just be nostalgia because the ride is closing in less than a month? Probably, but will nostalgia be enough to make it attraction of the year? Historically, Cedar Point rides have gotten the lions share of the votes in other polls. Will it do the same? Can new rides like Cheetah Hunt and Mach Tower measure up? Will the boy Wizard reign supreme. It’s all up to you! You’ve nominated your choices, now vote for your favorites!
Votes can be made once a day for the duration of the poll, so we fully encourage all to come back daily and vote for your favorite park. If you are with a nominated park, we strongly recommend encouraging your Facebook fans, Twitter followers, and other social media outlets to vote for you daily. After all, if your fans do not know your park is nominated, they can’t vote for you!
