The sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland film from Disney is headed to theaters in summer of 2016. The weird story, made even more bizarre by Johnny Depp, is back and it looks like more of the same. If you were a fan of the first, you’re in for a treat. Of you weren’t, well…then you might want to skip the new trailer that has hit.
The new trailer is very heavy in the effects, and includes a good look at some of your favorites, such as the Cheshire Cat, and of course, The Hatter. In fact, it looks like this new film is focusing more on the Hatter than previously.
Much of the cast has returned for the sequel, including Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, and of course Johnny Depp.
Yes, that is Sacha Baron Cohen as the timekeeper, or time…or something. The new story sees Alice have to travel back to Underland, and through time to save the Hatter. James Bobin takes over directing duties for Tim Burton.
Alice Through the Looking Glass opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
