Midsummer Scream Hits This Weekend, Here’s Everything You Need to Know!

Midsummer Scream is the nations newest and largest convention held to celebrate the world’s largest theme park haunts for the fans and creative minds behind them.

The huge event will be underway tomorrow at the Long Beach Convention Center and kick off the festivities with an opening panel from Disney Imagineering and theme park talent from around the world. Other notable panels for Saturday 7/30 include Queen Mary Dark Harbor as well as Holloween Horror Nights from Universal Studios Hollywood. Big announcements will be made!

The following day panels from the Winchester Mystery House, Delusion, Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest and of course Knott’s Scary Farm will be held each celebrating their own haunt with their own fans in big ways. More major announcements are expected on day 2! All the more reason to get a full weekend pass. That’s just scratching the surface.

Also expected are performances from Zombie Joe’s Urban Death, The Decayed Brigade Sliders and Mudd the Magnificent. You will also find countless workshops, seminars and much more for those aspiring theme park/haunted house designers in the world.

One of the elements we’re most looking forward to is the Hall of Shadows. This area will be it’s own mini theme park filled with multiple stand alone haunted walk through attractions and demonstrations as well as an interactive scare zone where nobody is safe from the roaming monsters, but don’t be affraid to bring your little ones. There will also be a fun Kid’s Area where they can take part in arts and crafts, activities, and get a balloon animal made for them!

There will be so much to do this weekend it’s a true haven for Haunt fans and a must do for those looking into the next big deal in the haunt industry.

We will be there all weekend so be sure to stay tuned for more from Midsummer Scream, and be sure to get social with us on Facebook and follow along with us on Twitter @BehindThrills for the latest updates!
