Hallowishes leaving to make room for new Halloween fireworks at Magic Kingdom

It’s been 14 years since Hallowishes brightened the sky at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom. Now the time has come for new trick or treaters to wreak spooky fun across the sky.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald will come across a haunted house and are drawn room to room where they encounter dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.

The new show will use state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and dazzling fireworks. Of course with a new show, it means that we have to say goodbye to Hallowishes:

If you’re worried about all of your holiday favorites disappearing, don’t worry. The Sanderson Sisters will be back in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular.

Other returning favorites include:

·     “Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade,” which happens twice nightly and features favorite Disney characters dressed in their Halloween best, along with the Disney villains and a cavalcade of fiendishly fun floats.

·     Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam in Fantasyland is the spot for all of the young partygoers to get their groove on with favorite Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins and Vampirina.

·     In Frontierland, prospector Cactus-Flower Cate rounds up youngsters for the “Frontierland Costume Promenade,” encouraging them to show off their costumes in a quest for the greatest treasure in the land – candy! The “Frontierland Costume Promenade” takes place just prior to each run of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade.

·     Trick-or-treating throughout the park!

Last year the park started doing changes to some attractions just for the Halloween party, and while Space Mountain worked amazingly well, things like the Pirates of The Carribean layover did not. Disney has announced that they are going to continue with layovers. We don’t know EXACTLY what that will mean, but let’s hope more Space Mountain and less Pirates.
