Indiana Beach just announced that they will be back for the 2020 season!
In February 2020, the owner of Indiana Beach, Apex Parks, announced that the park would be not be reopening for the 2020 season due to financial hardships. Apex sought a new owner for the park, and now it looks that a deal has finally been cemented – the park just posted an image saying “We’re Back!” with the hashtag #IndianaBeach2020. This is the first official confirmation that the park will in fact be reopening later this year!
Check out this interview with Indiana Beach’s new owner, Gene Staples:
Over the last few weeks, the park’s social media accounts have been teasing that a deal was in the works for a new park owner. According to the local media, a spokesperson for Indiana Beach said in a statement, “Indiana Beach Amusement and Water Park Resort continues to work with White County to complete the sale of the park and campground, with the expectation that the park will operate in 2020.”
This is really exciting news for all the people who fought to keep Indiana Beach alive, and it looks like its news owners also see a bright future for this park.
