One of the best things about Busch Gardens Tampa was that it was right next to the brewery when it opened, which of course meant free beer. That tradition lasted for decades, until sadly it ended when SeaWorld and Busch Gardens was sold to Blackstone.
Dark times…darker than Guinness.
Now the light is shining once more as free beer is returning to Busch Gardens Tampa! Not only that but the park is bringing in a brand new Beer Club in the Serengeti Overlook Pub.
First the free beer.
Guests can go to the Garden Gate and get two free beer samples from May 1st until August 5th, every day. The beer samples will rotate, so that you can try different brews including including Bud Light, Yuengling, Shock Top, Miller Light, MIA 305 and Founders All Day IPA. Guests can return to the park each day through the beginning of August to enjoy two free beverages, included in their theme park admission.
In the Serengeti Overlook Pub, there’s a brand new Club, that celebrates all things beer. The new Beer Club is $79 dollars a year, personal stein, stein storage and discounted refills from more than 20 on tap brews all year long!

Rotating brews on tap will include seasonal ales, regular favorites and unique craft brew selections.
If that’s not enough, Busch Gardens Tampa is closing out the year with the all new Bier Fest! From August 25th till September 16th, guests can enjoy a variety of beers from across the globe, including favorite local breweries on Saturdays and Sundays from Aug. 25 through Sept. 16. This four-weekend festival will feature a great selection of worldly brews, traditional German cuisine and festive music. It’s a beer lovers dream come true!!!
Beer. Is. Back!
Honestly it’s one of the biggest things that long time Busch Gardens and SeaWorld fans miss, and kind of feels like the clock turning back to the good ole days. What do you think? Are you happy for beer, glorious beer?
