It really is shaping up to be the Best Summer Ever! With summer comes heat, and the best way to beat the heat is to soak up the fun at a waterpark. Of course one of our favorites is Aquatica Orlando. We spend just about every weekend beneath the palm trees on the white sandy beach soaking up the sun, and lazing in the lazy rivers. Aquatica Orlando is SeaWorld’s first waterpark and features acres of slides, animal interactions and fun.
Aquatica has one of a kind animal exhibits, and tons of great rides. It doesn’t matter your size or speed, Aquatica tends to have something for the whole family. The park’s most popular attraction is Roa’s Rapids, a high speed (not so) lazy river that takes you through rapids, water jets, and tropical landscapes. It’s a very cool way to relax, without the hassle of a tube. The centerpiece of the park, though, is Dolphin Plunge. This attraction takes you zipping through a habitat of Commerson’s Dolphins. If you’re not brave enough to face the plunge, or if you’d rather take it easy, you can either view the dolphins in the special underwater viewing area, or as soon as you enter the park. There’s also Loggerhead Lane, the very slow and relaxing lazy river that takes you right underneath the dolphins. Loggerhead Lane is also home to thousands of tropical fish swimming above you.
