Fury 325 at Carowinds will be a huge deal when it opens this Spring. The all new coaster will be the tallest giga coaster, and will be a huge new opening statement. Part of the opening process includes testing the coaster, and putting water dummies on board to simulate people. It’s all done to ensure that the coaster is ready to go, and gives the best experience possible. Yesterday, Carowinds released an all new look at the coaster by strapping a camera on it, to give you a feeling of what it will be like to ride.
Testing on various parts of the new coaster has been going on for the past few weeks. All new lights on the coaster will give the coaster a green glow when the sun goes down. Part of the testing is the water dummy test. This test is to ensure that the coaster is working properly, running the right amount of G-Forces, and gives the best possible ride.
An all new video showcases the coaster, and all the maneuvers. We get to watch it take those tight turns, huge drops and amazing dips.
We also get to see that amazing fly under of the park entrance. As guests are entering the park, Fury 325 will be flying under it. The new coaster makes a huge statement for the park as guests approach, daring them to challenge “The Swarm”.
Fury 325 will open when the park does for the season on March 28th, with a very special preview for passholders on the 27th.
Fury is just the tip of the new offerings coming to Carowinds in 2015, as the park has completely revamped their in park menus, food and entertainment line up.
