Star Wars is back, and this time in a little way. LEGO Star Wars: The Resistance Rises is a series that was announced by Disney in February. Now the series of shorts has hit YouTube, courtesy of Toys R Us! The short series serves as a silly prequel to the events leading up to The Force Awakens. It also brings back some great characters from the original trilogy…or at least one.
The first short was aired on Disney XD, but the three new ones have premiered exclusively online. You will probably see them on Disney XD later this year. While these are just short films, the concept and premise is good enough for at least a full episode, or movie.
Short One: Poe to the Rescue
Short Two: The Trouble with Rathtars
Short Three: Hunting For Han
Short Four: Rey Strikes Back
We’re not sure if these are considered “canon” or not, but if they are…that means that Lando is alive and well, and we could see him in later movies! That’s only a nerd doing some wishful thinking though.
