The hype hasn’t started yet, but Universal Japan is building a world that we never thought possible. Mushrooms, and plumbers, giant apes and…bananas. Truth is that we don’t really know what to expect when Super Nintendo Land opens at Universal Studios Japan next year. But we can only hope!
It’s also been some time since YukenDoIt has checked in with a look at the under construction land. Luckily, we have just such a look now, albeit brief. If you jump ahead to the 9:00 minute mark, you’ll get a great new glimpse of the construction happening in World of Nintendo.
Wow! That is really coming along, and it seems to be following the same idea that the other areas like Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando is taking, by basically building a facade around the actual land.
You can see what looks like an outer wall going up around the area that will actually house the rides and land. It’s going to give the same feel of being in a far off land that you get when you walk into Diagon Alley. You actually feel like you’re in a magical world away from non magical eyes.
While we don’t know for sure what is coming to Universal Japan’s Super Nintendo World, we are hearing tons of rumors about a Mario Kart attraction that will have you “battling” other guests, and even a Donkey Kong Country ride that will have you “jumping” tracks. We should be getting some more official details later this year, as the new attractions are set to debut next year.
