1. F.L.Y.
Phantasialand, Germany
A new flying-roller coaster concept from Vekoma, this ride is our most anticipated attraction for 2020. Phantasialand in Germany is known for its highly-themed roller coasters with custom layouts, custom themes, custom soundtracks, and arguably the most visually impressive roller coasters on the Planet.
Vekoma hasn’t always been the most talked-about manufacturer among theme park fans because of their history with many mediocre-rated roller coasters, a cheaper price tag, and many cloned-rides. But this may really be their decade to shine. The new track styles and coaster-types that have been introduced by Vekoma are some of the most innovative ideas within the industry. This coaster has seats that rotate for easy-loading and is the first flying launched coaster.
F.L.Y. is part of a new themed area named “ROOKBURGH” at Phantasialand, Germany. The area also features a hotel, restaurants, and shops.
Announced 3 years ago, this is our most-anticipated coaster of 2020. We cannot wait to see the incredible amount of effort that the park has put into this ride finally come alive to guests. The new ride is currently testing, but there’s still more work to be done around the “Rookburgh” area.
